DBR V-8 ... takes me back

In 1993 I purchase my first, and ONLY, brand-new bike -- it was a Nishiki Pueblo.  I thought it was the bomb!  But, of course, like any 14-year-old, I became eager to tweak and customize and 'soup-up' my 'rig', so I quickly 'upgraded' ... to a MTN Tek something-or-other.  I saved up my hard earned money and purchased a brand-new 1996 Rock Shox Judy XC (no crappy Quad 5 or Quad 21 or Mag 21 for me, oh no...).  Can you imagine, a crappy MTN Tek chromoly hard-tail with a $300 fork (that was a lot back in those days, remember!).  Well, the MTN Tek didn't last long -- it went the way of the Nishiki.  So, WHAT did I replace the MTN Tek with you ask?  A DBR Vertex TR -- a sexy, matte-black hardtail.  I built it from the frame up w/ a Rock Shox Judy SL (later upgraded to a the carbon FSX), XTR throughout, Paul Love Levers (yes, you heard me right), Mavic X-717's, Dean titanium handlebar / stem / seatpost ... and the list goes on.  It was my favorite bike of all-time (until I built my GT STS-XCR 1000 (met a sad ending), and my most recent ETSX.
Anyways, I guess you could say I have a special bond to DBR, which brings me to the DBR V8.  Believe it or not, this is an excellent cross-country rig.  I've thrown on my brand-new LX throughout.  The SID up front is a SID -- super-light and will never die.  SOLD!

The Super 8 -- the DH flagship of Santa Cruz

It's hard to talk bad about a Santa Cruz; the Super 8 is no exception to that rule.  Although the aluminum finish is a tad weathered, it's still an amazing-looking machine.  SOLD!

Trek 8000 -- excellent commuter/xc ride

Here it is; one of the few bikes actually built here in the USA -- a Trek 8000.  This is a great little hardtail that would be perfect for riding along the foothills or commuting to and from the office.  SOLD!
