Specialized P.1

If trials and DJ street riding is your thing, the P.1 is for you. SOLD.

  1. As a trials rider, I wouldn't recommend riding trials on this bike. It also wouldn't be the best for DJ or street either because the radial laced front wheel and XC fork wouldn't hold up to the abuse.

    As for its trials abilities: The Magura HS33 brake you have on the front is great for locking up the wheel and terrible for modulation, which is why a lot of trials bikes use them on the rear but they don't make a very good front brake, which is why most trials bikes use a front disc brake now. The lower end cable disc brake with the 160mm rotor may be powerful enough for dj or street, won't be nearly strong enough for trials. The chainstays on the P1 are waaaaaya too long for trials too. If you want to sell a quality DJ bike, swap out the front wheel for something a little more substantial and just lose the front break. Most DJ riders don't use one.
